About Me

Welcome to our business website! My journey began in a small town in Saskatchewan, where a life rooted in farming and community service laid the groundwork for my career dedicated to financial excellence. Living my entire life in this beautiful province, I find joy in my family, which includes five wonderful children and a growing number of grandchildren.

Personal Interests and Community Involvement

My passions include reading the Bible, learning about history, and staying engaged in sports, politics, and financial matters. I have always been an active community member, coaching children’s sports teams and contributing to local newspapers with insightful articles on minor sports and financial topics.

Career Journey

My professional journey started at Pioneer Grain, followed by a significant career in finance with the Canadian Imperial Bank of Commerce in Regina, beginning in 1980. After 14 years with CIBC, I transitioned to Cooper Wealth Management with BMO Nesbitt Burns in Saskatoon. In 2007, I ended up with a discretionary Senior Portfolio Manager designation, successfully managing a $225 million portfolio for individuals, families, and small businesses.

In 2012, I moved his practice to ScotiaMcLeod and eventually retired as a Senior Vice President in February 2019. Over the 24-year tenure I served at Cooper Wealth Management, I navigated numerous market challenges, including the dot-com bubble and the Financial Crisis of 2008-2009. These experiences have shaped my approach to portfolio management, focusing on tactical and reactive strategies rather than passive ones.

Commitment to Continuous Improvement

Throughout my career, I had been committed to continuous education and investing in the latest technology to enhance client experiences. This dedication led to the integration of cutting-edge data science and technology into our systems, ensuring our clients receive the best possible service.

Return from Retirement

In 2022, I made the decision to come out of retirement to help clients prepare for future financial market challenges. Drawing on my over 40 years of experience, I am extremely passionate about guiding individuals and businesses through the complexities of the financial landscape, with the goal of helping them navigate and thrive in uncertain times

Personal Transformation and Faith

In my personal journey I have seen its share of challenges and significant changes. Guides by the love of Jesus Christ, I’ve experienced a life-changing rebirth through water baptism in the summer of 2021. This transformation led me to approach both my personal and professional life with a higher standard of accountability and integrity.

A Foundation Built on Faith

Inspired by Matthew 7:24-27, I am committed to building my life and business on a solid foundation of faith. My service to the Lord, my family, and my clients are now guided by principles rooted in Christian values. I strongly believe that true accountability comes from a higher power, and this perspective influences all aspects of my work.

Build your future on a Rock

“Therefore, whoever hears these sayings of Mine, and does them, I will liken him to a wise man who built his house on the rock: and the rain descended, the floods came, and the winds blew and beat on that house; and it did not fall, for it was founded on the rock.”

“But everyone who hears these sayings of Mine, and does not do them, will be like a foolish man who built his house on the sand: and the rain descended, the floods came, and the winds blew and beat on that house; and it fell. And great was its fall.”

Looking Foward

As I embark on this new chapter, I am excited to bring my extensive experience and knowledge to serve the greater good. I am dedicated to walking this journey with clients, helping you build a sound financial future based on sound, ethical principles

God Bless.
